Total Length -------- 68 inches
Width ----------------- 3 3/4 inches
Length of weaving --- 32 inches
Fringe ---- braided
Material ---- wool, 2ply, 14 wraps/inch

*********************************************

The [price per square inch] of weaving will be needed to make the final price caculation.

*********************************************

The first thing that is needed is the average number of changes in the pattern for each inch of width.
In the example shown above there are a total of 8 changes: 2 rowes of twining, 2 color changes, and 4 lines of beads. To find the average number of changes in the pattern for each inch of width, divide the number of changes (8) by the width of the sash (3.75 inches)

8 / 3.75 inches = 2.133 (average number of changes)

The base price per square inch is $0.10 times the number of wraps per inch.

14 wraps/inch X $0.10 = $1.40 (base price)

The total price per square inch is is the base price per square inch plus $0.10 times the average number of changes per inch of width.

$1.40 (base price) + $0.10 X 2.1 (average number of changes) =

$1.40 + $0.21= $1.61/square inch

*********************************************

The final price calculation is the price per square inch times the length of weaving times the width of the sash.

$1.61 /square inch X 32 inches (length) X 3.75 (width) = $193.20
